This Privacy Statement explains how we will use any information about you we get through your use of the Townswomen’s Guilds (TG) website. The Data Controller is Townswomen’s Guilds and may be contacted by writing to Gee Business Centre, Holborn Hill, Birmingham B7 5JR, emailing contact@the-tg.com or telephoning 0121 326 0400. We never share your personal information with third parties.

Shopping on the website
We collect personal information such as your address and contact details when you make a purchase from the shop. We need this to fill your order, deliver the goods or tickets and contact you if there is a problem. Where you are buying tickets for an event we will ask you to describe any access issues you may have, and if food is provided we will ask about allergies, so that we can make appropriate provision. We keep this additional information until the event takes place, but no permanent record is made of it. TG do not see the payment information you provide or hold it on the website server or on any TG computer. Payment information is held and processed securely by WorldPay, one of the largest payment processors in the UK.

Logging in to the member area
To access the member’s area, you must enter your surname and membership number, this is used to confirm you are a member. We do not save or process your personal information and (unless you leave a message on the forum) cannot identify who has used the area. When you have signed into the member area, a cookie (see below) enables you to move away and return to it, freely, until either you log out or for the next 5 days (whichever is sooner.

Registering for the website newsletter
Our website newsletter is designed to tell those signed up to receive it about changes to the website. By registering a contact email address, you consent to us saving the address and sending regular email up-dates. You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time by emailing contact@the-tg.com.

Cookies
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect information about site use and visitor behaviour. We use a Google Analytics cookie to track visitor use of the website and provide statistical reports on website activity, to help us improve and develop the website. We also use a Google Adsense Cookie to provide relevant advertisements to you (based on your previous internet use). Neither of these cookies collects personally identifiable information.
