"Bystanders must be supported to take action when they fear domestic abuse"

EVAW, in collaboration with other organisations involved with Domestic Abuse, has signed a joint statement calling for people not to be afraid to speak up if they suspect another person's safety is at risk.

In the wake of discussions over whether it is appropriate for neighbours and other bystanders to get involved in domestic disputes, EVAW highlighted the need for people not to be put off about reporting anything which they feel is not right, noting it is "natural human instinct" to want to speak up if something doesn't seem right.

TG supports this endeavour, and would encourage members to take this message to heart and not be afraid to say something which might just very well save a life.
